In 2010, 4.6-liter V8 engine was revamped to increase its power from 300 hp to 315 hp. The engine of the base model remained the same. In 2011, all the engines of Ford Mustang were revised. A new 3.7-liter (227 cu in) V6 motor was introduced for the base model. GT model switched over to 5.0-liter (302.13 cu in) Coyote engine.
